Today, we discussed how to approach critical analytical topic questions. I am stressing here that the "Text" you will be referring to is not the topic of your paper. Look instead at the key words. Even then, you are focusing on what the author is thinking about a topic and then using the text to provide the evidence to support this. I stressed the importance of outlining your ideas before you write (looking at the topic word and the text to see how they are present - and then examining the outcome to arrive at a possible thesis).
I then gave you the remainder of the class-time to work on your A Doll's House visual. Keep in mind that you will be writing your first essay on Thursday and your first multiple choice, reading comprehension exam on Friday (a stressful week).
